Wood-fired pottery that inhabits the border between function and sculpture. My studio is in the Peak District where the landscape and seasons are a huge inspiration. I adapt clays, slips and glazes with material found locally and the wood-firing process further develops the organic and elemental nature of the work. I hope too, that the pieces convey a light playful touch, with gilded stone inclusions and surprising use of colour contrasting with the chance and markings of the kiln.
