After starting pottery classes three years ago, I quickly came to realise that what had been a general interest had become an obsession for making.

Most of my early pieces were hand-built – mostly geometric (inspired by my love of mathematics) and functional or semi-functional. During this period, I was able to experiment with raku firing in addition to the kiln firing offered by the studio.

More recently, although I have continued making functional wares – now using an electric wheel – I have begun to focus mainly on hand-built sculptural pieces. These combine more organic forms and textured surfaces with themes around fracture and repair.
