Christie, Jill

Wold Pottery was set up in 1954 and is now based in an old butchers shop in Loftus where the old bakehouse has become the ‘new workshop’ and pots hang from the stainless steel food rails in the shop. Jill specialises in fine hand thrown domestic earthenware with brushed slip decoration in combinations of warm blues, greens, white and brown. Cut out lattice work and bowls with leaf impressions are other specialities. Commissions undertaken.
