Wilcock, Geoff

The surfaces of my work have been inspired by the constant interaction between the natural elements of Earth, Wind, Fire and Water.
I work on the potter’s wheel and I have always been fascinated by the fluid response of hands shaping clay. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and honesty. I use porcelain and glaze when throwing. Porcelain has the plasticity to respond to my intuitive actions and the glaze influences the surface pattern. The surface qualities that evolve fuel my aspiration to unite form and surface and helps achieve my goals from inner vision to outer reality.
