Lake, Morwenna

“Being immersed in nature is an important part of my work, as is the power of touch (hands-on). I am humbled by nature’s intricacy and beauty. Horrified by the struggle of everything to survive and grow. In awe of how it all intertwines.

Hand-building vessels to be fired in a Raku kiln produce unexpected results which to me is in keeping with nature itself. Just as no leaf is the same, so not one of my vessels is a carbon copy of the other. Each is unique. Each has its own inner expression.”
