Khokhar, Moz

I graduated from University of Leeds in 2006 with a BA (Hons) degree in Combined Studies in Design, specialising in the area of ceramics. Working for ceramicist Jim Robison as an artist assistant/apprentice since 2005 has allowed me to learn and experiment with different techniques of making and decorating the forms of clay. I also draw my inspiration from rich colours and patterns in South Asian culture. I use the techniques of extrusion, throwing, coiling and slab building to create functional and non-functional objects fired to stoneware in electric and gas kilns.
