Graham, Kim

I make hand-built ware in unglazed terracotta and glazed stoneware. Texture, repeat surface pattern and words are at the heart of my work. Over the last few years I’ve made a body of clay-stamps which I use to create my repeat patterns and textures into slabs of clay, which are then overlaid with text. These slabs are then made into vessels and forms called ‘pinched Diamonds’. I like to leave my ‘pinched diamonds’ for people to find – in the hills, on the beach and in the woods – a gift of CALM and LOVE and HOPE to raise people’s spirits.
