I am a Ceramic artist. I have been making ceramic work for several years. In 2010 I finished part-time Hons. Degree in Ceramics and Glasswork a Hull College. My main work has been done in Raku. I have made work that has been Saggar Fired & Naked Raku. This work has developed more after watching a programme on television which explores doing Naked Raku with people’s hair. I have done one for close family. I also mixed some new Raku Glazes, Gold and Silver. I was asked by a friend to make fun, coloured pots. They are earthenware I painted them with coloured powder slip, to begin with. I have since moved to on glazes and painted simple designs. They were then needed with legs so triangles and tubes took over. I try not to make them too tall. The designs have developed into new designs. The sky seems like the limit.
